According to Ubisoft, the new launch title for PS4 called “Watch Dogs” will run on a new, revolutionary game engine capable of destroying the type of visuals we are used to. The new technology is called Disrupts and is a milestone for Ubisoft in terms of visuals.
“Watch Dogs uses a brand new engine called Disrupt, developed specifically for the game at Ubisoft Montreal,” Viars said. “It’s not Assassin’s Creed engine.”
In addition to releasing on PS4, it will also come out on PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and surprisingly, the Wii U.
Watch Dogs is set in Chicago and puts players into the shoes of Aiden Pearce, a hacker who uses his smartphone to break into the city’s central operating system to control things like security cameras and also to obtain personal information.
